Making a difference in the world can feel daunting, but we know it works when we work together.
Charity in Action was founded in 2005 to provide a platform to help people. Deeply rooted in the idea that charity means nothing if there is no action driving it, Charity in Action was founded to be the connection point between the people who want to do good things and the people who need good things to happen for them.
Wanting to be part of the solution but not knowing where to begin can leave you paralyzed. Charity in Action works to identify people and organizations that need help, so you don’t have to. We create opportunities for our community members to give back through fundraising, food-drives, volunteer hours, and advocacy, making it easy and fun to get involved in your community, and beyond.
We vet the immediate needs of people who have fallen on hard times and act fast to get relief to the people who need it as quickly as possible. Most of the people we help come through referrals.
Charity in Action is only able to do what we do because of YOU!
We are an organization run entirely by volunteers and funded solely by individual donations. We depend on people like you caring enough about what we do to show up and help us do it. Is it harder this way? Sometimes. But it also means that every dollar donated goes directly to the cause it was intended. No overhead. No expenses. No salaries. Every dollar that comes into our organization goes right back out in the form of aid, assistance, and relief. And that’s what makes it worth it.
When we made the decision to put the success of Charity in Action in your hands, we knew we were taking a chance. We knew that if you stopped showing up on an individual level to support our work, Charity in Action would cease to exist. But we believe that if you give people the opportunity to help and a clear path of action, they will show up and do good things. And you have never let us down.

Because of amazing community members like you over the past 15 years, we’ve been able to put boots on the ground to offer hands-on support to people in crisis all over the world.
- Our volunteers have traveled from New York to Louisiana, to Texas, and Thailand to offer relief and support to those affected by natural disasters.
- We’ve partnered with organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House, RISSE, Bethany Christian Services, African Family Health Organization, and many more to help support their caseload and allow them to do what they do best.
- We’ve raised over $20,000 in aid for victims of flooding in the Bahamas and South India. Along with additional tens of thousands of dollars for specific emergent needs of individual families in crisis in our community.
With your support, we’ve been able to do so much, and there’s still so much to do!
